Tech Theatre Training Program
Tech Theatre Training prepares Kansas City area high school students with the skills and training for a career in entertainment.
Over a period of nine months (September to May), participants learn from professionals and work hands-on in the areas of lighting, costuming, hair and makeup, scenic/set design, audio/sound, and projection/video.
Participants also have the opportunity to visit partner arts organizations like The Arts Asylum, A to Z Theatrical, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E), and New Theatre & Restaurant.

“Arts and culture organizations need qualified people to help create the performances that we produce. We all need a local technical theatre workforce that is ready and able to design, build, craft and create — to do all the important jobs that make collaboration possible. Local people are key to our survival and to our thriving.” – Partner Organization Participant
